Tracks 1-8 are not bad for C-Pop (Cuticle Pop - too short to make any real impression, but they're not nothing)!

I always have trouble keeping up with Caribbean pop -- it's mostly because of how I look for music (seems very off the radar of Spotify's playlist curation) but some of it is the way that, like a lot of Afrobeats, I find a lot of it pleasant to listen to but hard to hold on to. Liked how the first few tracks go so minimal I perked up.

I am also now hemming and hawing at my reference to Brazilian funk w/r/t the minimal Caribbean pop. What it really reminds me of is the snap era of the mid-aughts, though I don't think the logic of that era is unrelated to what's going on in funk.
